SAS4x48 Expander Maximize the available throughput to the host with SAS-4

Deliver the highest class of expander scalability and performance available with the SAS4x48 expander, featuring the most SAS ports in Broadcom’s new SAS4xNN, pin-compatible SAS/SATA family of SAS-4 expanders. The 24G SAS interface supports 6G, 12G, 24G SAS and 6Gb/s devices and data transfer rates. The SAS4x48 supports PHY and T-10 zoning across 255 zones, any-to-any port mirroring, spread spectrum clocking, and enhanced, multi-purpose GPIO architecture. The DataBolt2 bandwidth optimizer (up to 40 ports) enables bi-directional data buffering at the SAS-4 data rate to end devices operating at 6Gb/s or 12Gb/s and employs a new design to further lower latency and increase performance, even in mixed-controller topologies. The 4x48 expander is supported by an industry-leading SAS-4 Software Development Kit (SDK), a comprehensive, feature-rich tool designed to efficiently accommodate OEM-specific firmware implementations, or to be used as provided.
